Brief recap of Stage 2:
Stage 2 was a time trial, with runners starting 1 minute apart, in reverse order of finish from Stage 1. Rich Tremain, wearing the Gold Jersey, started last. Determined to close the gap quickly, Rich ran an incredible 2:59 first km, and eventually caught up to Charles Bedley by the 8 km mark. Rich continued to press on, wanting to increase his overall lead heading into the tough 30 km trail run tomorrow.
Rich increased his lead from 1 second after Stage 1, to 1:38 after Stage 2 due to his fine effort today, and will continue to wear the Gold Jersey.
All participants turned in an exceptional performance in this Stage, but all still have a long way to go. Keep up the great work, and good luck tomorrow as The ENDURrun heads on to the trails.
