Brief recap of Stage 1:
With eager anticipation, the 1st Stage of the 1st ENDURrun got off to a very exciting opening day. Around the final bend, with 150 m to the finish, Rich Tremain and Charles Bedley were side by side. Both vying to become the first ever recipient of the coveted Gold Jersey, Rich's impressive track background (boasting a personal best mile time of 3:59), allowed him to pull away from Charles and claim victory by a mere 1 second. With 139 km and 6 Stages left to go, both are confident in claiming victory over the duration of The ENDURrun.
Congratulations Rich, and congratulations to all participants in the 1st ENDURrun. You are an inspiration to the many who are following this event.
Good luck in Stage 2 tomorrow!
